Junonia is a wonderful company offering quality products both through catalog and the Internet. Junonia's merchandise is caters to those with an active lifestyle size 14 and up.
Talk about shopping made easy, this is my kind of company! Just go to Junonia. You will see, as soon as you log on, the different categories to choose from. There are tops, Bottoms, Outerwear, Loungewear, Swimwear, Accessories and Under-Garments. Junonia makes your shopping easy and stress free. The convenience of being able to do all your active wear shopping on one site is fabulous. It certainly helps for all of us who are short on time, and just don't get the opportunity to get out and go shopping, well not for ourselves anyway.
While viewing the merchandise on-line, I found a few pieces that I feel are critical in any wardrobe. Everyone needs those few easy staple items that can mix and match with everything else in your wardrobe, plus it's nice to be able to get more than one season out of your clothing. This brings me to another great aspect of Junonia, the majority of their merchandise is cotton-based. This is my favorite, it breathes, it's washable and boy is it comfortable.

My first selection is this great Berber trimmed Pullover. With the weather getting cooler I just love this. It comes in two designs Leaf and Snowflake. It has these great berber accents at the cuffs and the best part it's WASHABLE! On a cool day sometimes I'd rather throw on a pullover than a bulky jacket, this is quite fashionable with a pair of jeans or leggings. This is one of those pieces that you could wear Fall, Winter and Spring on a cool day or evening. I really like this.

Next, I love the Fisherman Sweater. What a classic piece! Everyone needs one of these. It has a great styling, with a shawl collar, two front pockets, and faux leather buttons. The all over-cable design is a signature for the "Fisherman Sweater". Again, you could carry this through three seasons easily. I love the look with a long wool skirt (check out our Barley Tweed Skirt, available in sizes 6-20) and a pair of boots, or with your favorite worn out jeans It's one of those items you'll find yourself wearing over and over again.

As a true staple item, we all need this long sleeve denim shirt. It's a great shirt/ jacket style and 100% cotton which we love and with the stonewash treatment the garment is extremely soft. This is such a versatile piece. You can wear a tee under it and leave it out. Or, wear it alone with a sweater over it (the Fisherman Sweater would look great.) You can pair this with a skirt to have a casual look it's an item that again you will continually be pulling from your closet. Combine it with that white blouse, we all have.

Okay, enough with the tops, we have the "must have" pants for all you trendy ladies. If you're not into trends, the comfort factor is reason enough to order these pants. They are the famous Bootleg Pants. Made from cotton and Lycra and machine washable. Don't let the Lycra part scare you; it's critical to help retain the shape of the pant. Put your long sleeve denim shirt on with the Fisherman Sweater and your favorite black boots and you're all set.

Finally, with Christmas and Hanukkah approaching,here are a few gift ideas. First this Polar Fleece "Couch Cuddler" has snap closures at the bottom so no drafts get in. They really thought of everything with this item. It just looks so comfortable and on a cold night when you just want to cozy up on the couch with a good book or movie this is what you want to be in.

In my conversation with Anne, she had mentioned they do a wonderful business in "Fanny-Packs". Truly, Junonia is a company on the move. They are presently sending out four catalogs a year and for 2000 they will be sending out five. As for the future, Anne says she is looking at the possibility of a second catalog concept. This wouldn't be for some time, but they will be testing a few items in catalogs to come.
